MOVEMENT DAY NYC: TOGETHER | OCTOBER 22, 2021 | 10AM – 4PM EST

Thank you for joining us for
Movement Day NYC: TOGETHER

Since 2010, Movement Day NYC (MDNYC) has convened local leaders from different sectors, with a vision of uniting the city with the gospel.

Since its inception, Movement Day has inspired the globe and spread to 5 continents, serving over 45,000 leaders worldwide!

While under the leadership of Rev. Adam Durso, President of LEAD.NYC, MDNYC’s focus has been refined, now connecting the most influential leaders for a day of strategic thinking, mind mapping, and celebration.

MDNYC embodies the importance of big-picture thinking with localized collaboration methodology. The convening of community leaders is essential to identifying and cultivating proactive solutions for the spiritual and social issues plaguing our city.

At each MDNYC gathering, you will glean insights and have discussions with top-notch marketplace, nonprofit and para-church leaders, who have come together for the sole purpose of leading in collaboration to transform the city of New York.

After such an unprecedented year, let’s emerge victorious, TOGETHER!

MDNYC 2020

MDNYC 2020 looked very different from past Movement Day’s but nonetheless, it was an INCREDIBLE time of Kingdom acceleration!

On October 20- 21, God moved during our MDNYC broadcast at the Christian Cultural Center (CCC) and weaved us together with nearly 400 onscreen virtual attendees all throughout the United States. Big shout out to Andy Mineo’s DJ, DJ Ray on the 1’s and 2’s rocking during all our breaks and lunches!

Together, we heard powerful themes throughout the two days. From the intersection of faith and culture to lament, our time was packed with engaging sessions that we’ll be dissecting for months to come. We know that 2020 has been tough but we, the Church, play a huge role in society.

Christianity isn’t just a moment, it’s a lifestyle. We have to remember that according to Jesus, Heaven and earth are one, which is why the church lives at the intersection of faith and culture. As the world, laments, we should too. In that lament, we are to point others to our hope in Jesus. A sense of lament is actually a good thing that transforms us to grow!

Will you join us as we live and lead in a way that positively impacts our city for the next 10 years and beyond?

AFTER THE FIRST DAY

MDNYC 2020

We’ll join together for an evening of prayer and vision to reach one million new Metro New Yorkers.

On October 20 at 6pm, we’ll broadcast live from Beraca Baptist Chuch in Brooklyn and will be joined by Mart Green, founder of Every Tribe Every Nation, as well as leaders from throughout the Metro New York area. Join us in interceding on behalf of our neighbors across the city and throughout the world. Over the next 10 years, we hope to see 250,000 Christians praying every single day to see one million new Metro New Yorkers reached and changed by the gospel. This night of prayer will be a time to gather, pray, and commit ourselves afresh to these efforts.

You can join anywhere in the world via Facebook Live. The link will be shared closer to Movement Day NYC.

HIGHLIGHTS FROM

MDNYC 2019

Last year’s MDNYC gathering was filled with tremendous charge and challenge. God’s heart for unity was captured at every turn.

Facilitator Mark Matlock kept the “MOVE” in Movement Day leading conversations that inspired collaboration. Times Square Church’s Pastor Carter Conlon and Redeemer’s Timothy Keller charged us to rethink unity outside of our church and/or organizational walls. Jennifer Jones Austin challenged the lines of faith and social justice, reminding us that we have the tools to leverage.

Featured comedian Michael Jr. brought on the laughs but not without imparting a fresh perspective on generosity as it relates to giving and receiving. A common thread seen throughout our 10 Zip Codes Project! Leaders like A.R. Bernard, Josh Crossman, Wanji Walcott, April Tam Smith, Bob Doll and countless more challenged us to give more, and move beyond our scope. Each message richer than the last one! We can not wait to gather with you all again in October!
