Of The

Pastors’ Prayer Summit

“The Pastors’ Prayer Summit is the longest running, most diverse, largest prayer summit in the country!”

The Pastors’ Prayer Summit (PPS) began with its initial gathering at the Transformation Life Center in Upstate New York.

Thirty leaders gathered to cry out to God for the sake of our city and the globe.  Over the past thirty years the Greater New York Pastors’ Prayer Summit has become the largest, longest running, and most diverse gathering of its kind in the United States convening over 6,000 leaders. The PPS has forged a supernatural unity across racial and denominational lines.

It has also incubated powerful prayer and outreach collaborations over the last 30 years including The Lord’s Watch which was instrumental in praying toward the 90% reduction in the murder rate since 1994.

As we gather January 27-29, 2020 we are expecting God to give us, as a praying community, a renewed sense of passion for the broken and lost of our world. The challenges facing the early 21st century church reflect the challenges of the 1st century church – enormous populations to reach, enormous economic and justice divides, and a next generation slipping away from the church. We challenge each other to come together in unity to forge the future together with God’s leadership.

  • “Thank you so much for inviting me to the Concerts of Prayer 2019 Pastors’ Prayer Summit. It was my first time and I was blessed beyond all measure. I have been to many conferences over the last 38 years but have never attended one such as this.  It was Pastoral Care for Pastors & Leaders. Genuine, heartfelt and full of compassion.”

    Rev. Mike Taormina

    Hope Day Network

  • “I am so encouraged by Adam’s leadership. My prayers are that God will continue to protect his heart, and guide him away from any distractions. Adam’s the vessel that is bringing the NYC church leadership together again. This is no small task, but I am convinced that he’s the man for this hour.”

    Pastor Marc Rivera

    Primitive Christian Church

  • “The Pastors’ Prayer Summit was amazing! Thank you so much for presenting this incredible retreat and inspiring ministers! My heart is still blessed by all the good sermons and word pictures, it was wonderful to see you all too. I can’t wait until next year’s PPS!”

Our Tenets of Faith

We Believe

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful people. The express mandate of the Church is to fulfill the Great Commission.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved are resurrected to eternal life and the lost to the fires of Hell.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Testimonials

  • “Though there is not yet a visible unity of the Church on Earth, there is a spiritual unity that can be experienced when leaders pray together. I am active in the united prayer movement because I believe when pastors and churches come together — to be led by the Holy Spirit — there can come about revival, restoration and reformation. I have stayed involved because Concerts of Prayer is the one organization I know of where differences are laid down and only Christ is glorified.”

    Archbishop Craig Bates

    Charismatic Episcopal Church

  • “Concerts of Prayer is by far the largest, most truly diverse network of churches in Greater New York. People are getting along in the Gospel that ordinarily would never get along. It is the only network that has vastly different types of people. Greater New York needs all those kinds of churches. Concerts of Prayer is the place to start, which is why I am involved with it.”

    Dr. Timothy Keller

    Redeemer Presbyterian Church

  • “Concerts of Prayer has given me the opportunity to connect with like-minded and ‘Kingdom-minded’ pastors of various denominations and ethnicities who are praying and agreeing in prayer for Greater New York. I so appreciate the relationships that have developed, which have allowed me to continually see the bigger picture of what God is doing in this region.”

    Rev. Fred Provencher

    Cornerstone Christian Church

  • “The ‘what’ in life always divides us. COPGNY has discovered through the Holy Spirit that the ‘who’ is what unites us…the God-man Christ Jesus! COPGNY is the living expression of John 17:23, a prayer from Jesus that has now become a movement of prayer.”
