PASTORS’ PRAYER SUMMIT 2019

EXPERIENCING GOD TOGETHER THROUGH PSALM 23

MONDAY, JANUARY 28, 2019 – WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 30, 2019
Tuscarora Inn & Conference Center
3300 River Road
Mount Bethel, PA 18343

The Pastors’ Prayer Summit (PPS) is an annual COPGNY event with the purpose of strengthening pastors and ministry leaders in their personal spiritual formation, so that they can be revived and renewed to carry out the call on their lives to serve God, their family, church, and ministries.

The three-day retreat includes: six encounters of powerful worship, rich and thought-provoking teaching, intercessory prayer, free times of rest & recreation and times of fellowship for strengthening one another.

Every attendee will receive a copy of Mac Pier’s new book: A Disruptive God – Encounter Psalm 23 and Discover God’s Purpose for you.

PPS is designed to help Church Leadership reflect on why they do what they do, and to encourage them to continue on, with a network of support.

CONVENERS

Our PPS Conveners are dedicated Pastors and Leaders who’ve faithfully served the NY Metro area over many years. The benefit they receive by annually gathering at the Pastors Prayer Summit has prompted them to each invite 10 other Pastors/Leaders to attend with them this year. The hope is that they too can experience value of the Summit and be strengthened through fellowship with God and one another and then return to be an encouragement to those they serve.

Throughout history God has used prayer as a primary means to connect his people to one another and bring transformation to the world. That has always been the core passion of Concerts of Prayer Greater New York, which is why we are so very excited to have them as part of LEAD.NYC.

The Concerts of Prayer movement in New York City was birthed in 1988 when 75 churches gathered to pray on February 5 of that year. Since then more than 250,000 people and 2,000 churches have participated. Over the years Concerts of Prayer Greater New York has hosted Pastors’ Prayer Summits, National Days of Prayer, The Lord’s Watch prayer vigil, and Pray New York! The prayer movement continues to bring unity to diverse denominational, ethnic, and geographical groups.

Our Tenets of Faith

We Believe

  • We believe the Bible to be the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God.
  • We believe that there is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
  • We believe in the deity of our Lord, Jesus Christ, in His virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father, and in His personal return in power and glory.
  • We believe that regeneration by the Holy Spirit is absolutely essential for the salvation of lost and sinful people. The express mandate of the Church is to fulfill the Great Commission.
  • We believe in the present ministry of the Holy Spirit by whose indwelling the Christian is enabled to live a godly life.
  • We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost. The saved are resurrected to eternal life and the lost to the fires of Hell.
  • We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ.

Testimonials

  • “Though there is not yet a visible unity of the Church on Earth, there is a spiritual unity that can be experienced when leaders pray together. I am active in the united prayer movement because I believe when pastors and churches come together — to be led by the Holy Spirit — there can come about revival, restoration and reformation. I have stayed involved because Concerts of Prayer is the one organization I know of where differences are laid down and only Christ is glorified.”

    Archbishop Craig Bates

    Charismatic Episcopal Church

  • “Concerts of Prayer is by far the largest, most truly diverse network of churches in Greater New York. People are getting along in the Gospel that ordinarily would never get along. It is the only network that has vastly different types of people. Greater New York needs all those kinds of churches. Concerts of Prayer is the place to start, which is why I am involved with it.”

    Dr. Timothy Keller

    Redeemer Presbyterian Church

  • “Concerts of Prayer has given me the opportunity to connect with like-minded and ‘Kingdom-minded’ pastors of various denominations and ethnicities who are praying and agreeing in prayer for Greater New York. I so appreciate the relationships that have developed, which have allowed me to continually see the bigger picture of what God is doing in this region.”

    Rev. Fred Provencher

    Cornerstone Christian Church

  • “The ‘what’ in life always divides us. COPGNY has discovered through the Holy Spirit that the ‘who’ is what unites us…the God-man Christ Jesus! COPGNY is the living expression of John 17:23, a prayer from Jesus that has now become a movement of prayer.”
